Privacy Policy

Effective: May 10, 2026·Last updated: May 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how AnchorKite LLC ("AnchorKite," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you visit our website at anchorkite.com (the "Site"). We've tried to write this in plain language. If anything is unclear, contact us at legal@anchorkite.com.

This policy applies to the Site only. Individual apps published by AnchorKite (such as Attenda) have their own privacy policies that cover data collected through those apps. You'll find a link to an app's privacy policy on its store listing or in the app itself.

1. Who we are

AnchorKite LLC is an independent software company organized under the laws of the State of Georgia, United States. Our registered agent's address is on file with the Georgia Secretary of State.

For all privacy-related inquiries, including questions about this policy or requests regarding your personal information, contact us at legal@anchorkite.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect very little information through the Site itself.

Information you provide. If you contact us by email (for example, by clicking a mailto: link or writing to one of our addresses), we receive whatever information you choose to include in that email — typically your name, email address, and the contents of your message.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Netlify) automatically logs basic technical information about visits, including:

  • IP address (often truncated or anonymized)
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Pages viewed and the date/time of the visit
  • Referring page, if any

These logs are used to operate the Site, monitor performance and security, and diagnose problems. We do not use this information to personally identify visitors.

Cookies and similar technologies. The Site does not currently use cookies for tracking or advertising. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies for security purposes (for example, to mitigate denial-of-service attacks). If we ever add analytics or other cookie-based tools, we will update this policy and, where required by law, request your consent.

3. How we use information

We use information collected through the Site to:

  • Respond to messages you send us
  • Operate, maintain, and secure the Site
  • Diagnose technical problems and improve performance
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not use information collected through the Site to send marketing communications unless you explicitly request them.

4. How we share information

We share information only in the limited circumstances below:

Service providers. We use third-party services to operate the Site. These providers process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services. They include:

  • Netlify, Inc. — website hosting and content delivery
  • Fastmail Pty Ltd — email hosting

These providers have their own privacy policies, which describe how they handle the information they process.

Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

Business transfers. If AnchorKite is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before any such transfer that would change how information is handled.

5. Data retention

We retain email correspondence and contact information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to inquiries and maintain business records, typically no longer than three years from the last interaction unless we are required by law to keep it longer or you ask us to delete it sooner.

Server logs are typically retained for 30 to 90 days by our hosting provider, depending on their default settings.

6. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, including using reputable service providers, transport-layer encryption (HTTPS) on the Site, and access controls on our email and storage systems. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the Site. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us at legal@anchorkite.com and we will delete it.

Apps published by AnchorKite that are directed to or used by children, or that handle student data, are governed by separate privacy policies that address children's privacy and applicable laws such as COPPA and FERPA where relevant.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including:

  • Access. Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction. Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Deletion. Ask us to delete personal information we hold about you
  • Objection or restriction. Object to certain processing or ask us to restrict it
  • Portability. Request your information in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, email legal@anchorkite.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (typically 30 to 45 days). We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended, you have additional rights. We do not sell personal information and have not done so in the prior 12 months. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

EEA, UK, and Swiss residents. We process personal information on the basis of legitimate interests (operating the Site and responding to inquiries), legal obligation (compliance and record-keeping), or your consent where required. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. International transfers

AnchorKite is based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. By using the Site, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

10. Third-party links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not operate. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their privacy policies before providing them with personal information.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
