Nothing on the main screens shows that hidden contacts exist. It's strong privacy, not magic: read what the vault can and can't promise below.

AES-256 on the device
Every contact is encrypted and stored only on this phone. The PIN is kept as a salted hash, never in readable form.

Names, several numbers and emails, address, company, job title, birthday and notes, with a photo from your camera or gallery.

Private by design
Your contacts stay on your phone.
There is no Clanda account and no Clanda server. AnchorKite never receives your contacts, can't see them, and can't recover them.
The only time Clanda talks to a server is when you start a trial or make a purchase: Google Play and our purchase provider, RevenueCat, confirm it using an anonymous ID. Nothing else leaves the phone unless you export a file yourself, and exported files are not encrypted. Read the Clanda privacy policy for the details.

Is Clanda on iPhone?
Not today. Clanda is on Google Play for Android phones.
What happens if I forget my PIN?
AnchorKite cannot recover it. Nothing is held on our side, so a forgotten PIN means the contacts it protects are gone. Keep a backup somewhere safe, and choose a PIN you will remember.
Does importing change the contacts on my phone?
No. Clanda asks for read-only access when you tap Import and copies the contacts you pick into its own encrypted storage. It never changes your phone's address book, so a contact you want kept private still needs deleting from there yourself.
How do I move Clanda to a new phone?
Back up to a file from Settings, move the file across, and restore it in Clanda on the new phone. There is no cloud copy, so the backup file is the only way across. Backup files are not encrypted, so keep yours somewhere you trust.
Are hidden contacts included in a backup?
Only if you take the backup with the vault open. A backup taken with your main PIN contains your everyday contacts and nothing from the vault.
Can someone break into the vault?
Your main PIN cannot open it, and hidden contacts have their own encryption key made from the second PIN. No app can promise more than that. A 6-digit PIN is a million possible guesses for someone who has already pulled the data and the key off your phone, so treat the vault as strong privacy, not as a guarantee.
Does Clanda work offline?
Your contacts, search, the PIN lock and backups all run on the phone. Starting a trial or making a purchase needs a connection, because Google Play confirms it.
Is there a free version?
No. Clanda has a 7-day free trial on the monthly and yearly plans, then needs a paid plan. That pays for the app without ads, accounts or selling data. Cancel the trial in Google Play before it ends and you are not charged.
